Toledo Blade 3-7-13

We will be featured in the Scene Spotlight section of the Blade’s Peach Weekender tomorrow. If you’re in the Toledo area, please pick up a copy and check it out! Also, I created an Instagram account for the band— sinfuldesiremusic — please follow it if you get a chance.

Natty Mountain. Still a work in progress.

Picture previews were sent to us. Bryan did an awesome job (and was great to work with). I’ll post some of the pictures when we get the final copies.

The photo shoot in Cleveland got cancelled last minute, so we rescheduled with a new photographer, this time in Detroit. So the five of us are crammed in a car right now, on our way for our 2:30 appointment. I’ll admit, I’m nervous. But hopefully it’ll end up being fun.
Also, the album is almost done! We just need to send it off to get mastered— exciting, right?! Soon there will be new Sinful Desire music for our friends to enjoy.

Band photoshoot this weekend.

Goal: look normal and not have the photographer be completely like:

From the mouth of Tyler: “Well guys, four days together and we didn’t kill each other.”

The band spent four days in Chicago recording our first full length album. We worked with Steve Albini, who has recorded such bands as Nirvana, Pixies, Breeders, Chevelle, Veruca Salt, and many many others.

I’ll do a detailed post when I get home tomorrow.

Big news!

Good news from the Sinful Desire camp: we made it into the Ohio Bike Week battle of the bands!

I think I can speak for us all that we’re really excited to have made it. We’re hoping to pull a good crowd and make all those bikers new Sinful fans… and win on June 1st so we can open for Seven Mary Three the next day.

Also, big show tomorrow night (May 25th) at 10:30 PM at Howard’s in Bowling Green. Please come out and support us, maybe buy our EP for $5 if you haven’t already?

Right, well I’ve got some homework to do (YAY summer classes! *grumble grumble*)… remember to ‘Like’ us on facebook and come to our shows.

“I woke up and I feel like shit”

Darcy here. Today’s “song lyric blog entry title thing” are in regards to me not feeling so well lately. More specifically, not feeling so well vocal-wise. For a singer it’s always frustrating to lose your voice— after all, it is your instrument. But when you have a show coming up, it makes it just that much worse and nervewracking. Anyway…

What’s this show I speak of?

Sinful Desire is playing at Woodchuck’s Bar and Grill in Toledo on May 5th. If you’d like to find out more on where we’re playing, simply go to facebook and search for Woodchuck’s Bar and Grill. The address is on there, if you need it.

We’ll be playing an hour long set and you’ll hear most of our originals plus two covers.

And now it’s time for big news! We got the EP finished and have copies ready to be bought!! CDs are only $5 (c’mon, that’s a steal). They’ll feature our songs “State of Grace”, “Beautiful Disaster”, “What He Needs”, “Flatline”, “Machinegun”, and “Love is a Lie”.

If you’d like to buy it, go to our facebook page and let us know.

Lastly, I’m going to a concert tonight (Rammstein, fuck yeah!) and I’d like to blog about it tomorrow and it’ll probably go on here, so look forward to that haha.
